Skidmore Employees FCU Online Banking
Welcome to Skidmore Employees FCU- Online for at home banking. We are pleased to offer you a convenient way to view your account balances, transfer funds, review account history, and receive check images on-line anywhere you want. There is no charge for this service.
TO ENROLL
To subscribe to Skidmore Employees FCU -Online, please complete and sign the enrollment form.
Once you receive your User ID and Security Code from the credit union, the service will be immediately available to you. The first time you access Skidmore Employees FCU –Online you must change your security code to an eight (8) –digit numeric code- ONLY KNOWN TO YOU- to be in compliance with the terms of the agreement. You accept full responsibility for the confidentiality and security of your password.
Upon three unsuccessful attempts to login, your Online Banking access will be stopped. To re-establish connection you must contact Skidmore Employees FCU to verify your login and obtain a new temporary password. Once you re-enter Skidmore Employees FCU- Online, you can create a new password.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
For optimum performance, it is recommended that your system meet the following criteria:
Microsoft Internet Explorer at version level 6.0 or higherOrNetscape 6.1 or higher
The system browser must allow for 128-bit encryption
The operation installation and maintenance of your computer and browser software are your responsibility. Skidmore Employees FCU is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury whether caused by your equipment or software, services or any technical or editorial error contained in or submissions from any help screens related to the service or arising from any operation of your equipment. The use of this service will not introduce any viruses to your system. It is your responsibility to guard against a virus attack.
TERMS and CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions govern the manner in which The Skidmore Employees Federal Credit Union will provide Online services to you:
Skidmore Employees Federal CU Online is available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Personal assistance is available during the normal business hours of Skidmore Employees Federal Credit Union operation.

Fees:
Online banking is a free service to our members. Therefore no fees will be billed or withdrawn to your accounts. This however, does not mean that any additional online services that may be added in the future will also be free of charge. Fees may be amended by us from time to time. You are responsible for any and all telephone access fees or internet service fees assess by your telephone or internet service provider.
Services:
- Online Banking
- Transfer of funds between eligible Activated Accounts that are deposit accounts at the Credit Union
- Payments to loan accounts held by the Credit Union
- Download of financial data to a third party
- Electronic Mail ('e-mail') to or from us
You must have an active Skidmore Employees Federal Credit Union account currently in good standing.
You authorize us to utilize Fiserv to provide the Services on our behalf.
We reserve the right to refuse to make any payment and/or transfer.
Transfers between suffixes (i.e. 00-1 for shares or 50-1 for share draft etc.) will occur immediately and members should verify new balances as soon as possible.
Under no circumstances will we be liable if we are unable to complete any payments and/or transfers initiated in a timely manner via the Services because of the existence of any one or more of the following circumstances:
- The amount of the requested transactions exceeds $4,000.00
- The designated account does not contain sufficient funds to complete the payment and/or transfer
- You have closed the designated account
- We have identified you as a credit risk and have chosen to administratively block your access to Skidmore Employees FCU Online
- The Services, your equipment, the software, or any communications link is not working properly
- Circumstances beyond our control (such as, but not limited to, fire, flood, or interference from an outside source) prevent the proper execution of the transaction
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OTHER LOSS, DAMAGE, OR INJURY, WHETHER CAUSED BY YOUR EQUIPMENT OR SOFTWARE, THE SERVICES, OR ANY TECHNICAL OR EDITORIAL ERRORS CONTAIN IN, OR OMISSIONS FROM, ANY USER GUIDE/BROCHURE RELATED TO THE SERVICES. WE SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE INSTALLATION, USE OR MAINTENANCE OF OUR EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE OR THE SERVICES, EXCEPT WHERE THE LAW REQUIRES A DIFFERENT STANDARD.
Statements:
All payments and/or transfers made via the Services will be listed on your monthly account statements (Statement) that you receive from us by mail.
New Services:
We may, from time to time, introduce new services or enhance the existing services. By using these services when they become available, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions concerning these services that are introduced with new services.
Care of Your Security Codes and Security:
You agree that you will not give your security code (PIN number) or make it available to any other person. If you believe that your PIN number has been lost or stolen, or that someone has made payments and/or transfers using your PIN number without your permission, you agree that you will notify us IMMEDIATELY by phone any time during normal business hours and by e-mail.
Your Liability for Unauthorized Transfers/Payments:
If you believe that your PIN number has been lost or stolen, notify Skidmore Employees Federal Credit Union IMMEDIATELY as provided above in order to keep your possible losses down. If you notify us within two (2) business days after you learn of the loss or theft, your maximum liability is $50.00.
If you DO NOT notify us within two (2) business days after you learn of the loss or theft of your PIN number, and we can prove that we could have prevented someone from using your name and User ID if you had told us in time, your maximum liability is $500.00.
If your statement contains payments and/or transfers that you did not make, notify us IMMEDIATELY. If you do not notify us within sixty (60) days after the Statement was mailed to you, you may not get back any of the money you lost if we can prove that we could have stopped someone from taking the money if you had told us in time. If a good reason (such as hospital stay or a long trip) prevented you from telling us, we may, at our discretion, extend the time.
Errors and Questions:
Contact us as soon as possible at either the address or telephone number described above if you think that a payment and/or transfer listed on your statement is in error or if you need more information about a payment and/or transfer listed on the Statement. We must hear from you no later than sixty (60) days after you receive the first Statement on which the problem or error appeared.
When you call or write us, you must:
- Tell your name and User ID.
- Describe the payment and/or transfer you are unsure about (merchant name, account information, transaction date, transaction amount) and explain as clearly as you can why you believe it is an error or need more information. If possible, please provide us with the reference number for such transaction.
- Tell us the dollar amount of the suspected error. If you tell us orally, or by using the services' electronic mail, we may require that you send your complaint in writing within ten (10) business days. We will tell you the result of our investigation within ten (10) business days after we receive your complaint and will correct any services error promptly. If we need more time, we may take up to forty-five (45) days to investigate the complaint or question.
Fee Schedule:
You agree to pay us the fee to be published by us from time to time. (Our current fee schedule can always be accessed from our home page at http://www.skidmore.edu/administration/sefcu/)
Additional Terms and Conditions:
- In addition to the foregoing, you agree to be bound by and comply with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. We agree to be bound by them too.
- We reserve the right to terminate your use of the services, in whole or part, at any time, without prior notice.
- You may terminate your use of the services at any time. Such termination requests must be in writing. Should you choose to terminate, a termination request must be in writing and sent to us by first class mail at the address listed for notification at the beginning of this Agreement.
- These Terms and Conditions and applicable services fees and charges may only be altered or amended by us. In such event, we shall send notice to you at your listed address or transmit notice of the alteration or amendment over the services. Your use of the services following receipt of such notice constitutes acceptance of such alterations or amendments.
- In the event of a dispute regarding the service, you and we agree to resolve this dispute by looking to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions shall supersede any and all other representations made by you or our employees.
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
- The Jurisdiction of any claim arising as a result of this Agreement shall be in the State of New York.
